Excellence award for Truflo Marine

The award follows an outstanding sales year and successful entrance into civil nuclear market. Truflo Marine Limited has been awarded the top prize in the Midlands Excellence Awards, the most sought after award in the Midlands business calendar.

Fighting off strong competition from a host of Midlands companies, Truflo took the award for all round excellent performance. The business underwent a rigorous independent assessment by judges, including a detailed presentation and a series of site visits to the company’s Aston headquarters. Judges based their decision on a range of criteria including leadership, overall business strategy, resources, people and processes.

The award marks an outstanding period for Truflo Marine which posted a record sales year in 2011, with an overall sales growth of 20% since 2008. In that time, Truflo Marine has successfully moved from being a manufacturer solely focussed on the UK market for defence-related products into the civil nuclear market, which now accounts for 20% of sales. What’s more, Truflo Marine has successfully entered export markets in Europe, the Far East and North America which now accounts for 40% of sales.

Truflo Marine has further cause for celebration in 2012 as this year marks the 50th year of trading.
