COVIS GROUP LAST INVESTMENTS: AN OVERVIEW

Carrè, April 2016 - As announced at the end of 2014, during the presentation of the company’s investment plans, addressed to all the employees , last year has been a significant transformation for COVIS Group. The General Manager of the company, Pietro Vissa, had in fact declared that the aim of the planned investments would be to strengthen and expand the company's production capabilities and capacity and to substantially develop the internally managed services.
Starting from January 2015, FIMANI Operating Division has been relocated in a new larger plant in Asigliano Veneto (VI), where, in addition to the machines moved from the old location, three new machines have been installed: one Okuma Macturn 550 Multitasking Lathe, one You-Ji VTL-1600 ATC+C Vertical CNC Lathe and an Okuma MA 600 Horizontal CNC Centre. Currently there is a fourth new machine under assembly phase, a PAMA HP3 SPEEDMAT Horizontal CNC Centre, whose completion is scheduled for the end of May 2016.
In ATLOMARTESA Operating Division in Carrè (VI), the new Welding Department and its four brand new rigs have become operative since March 2015 and in the following months different procedures have been qualified.
As part of COVIS’ plan to continuously increase its capacity , another new Horizontal CNC Milling and Boring Centre has been installed in Carrè in order to widen the machinable dimensional range: a PAMA SPEEDMAT HP, with pallet size 2000x2000 . Moreover, on September 28th 2015, COVIS’ Head Quarters were moved to a modern and spacious building, adjoining ATLOMARTESA’s plant in Carrè thus rejoining the main offices and the machine shop.
With the aim of improving the know-how gained over the years and in order to respond to the needs of customers and provide them with an even more complete range of services, at the beginning of 2016, a new company, PERESAN WELDING SOLUTIONS, has become part of COVIS Group. PWS arises from the synergy between Covis and Peresan, a company with over thirty years of experience in the field of special welding. “Our Mission is to continuously enhance our services to our partners worldwide with the aim of becoming their sole-source supplier. This new venture makes COVIS Group one of the most experienced and capable in Italy and we know that our teamwork will be the key to cost-effective advantages for our customers”, said the General Manager, Pietro Vissa.
