The new fail-safe module introduced by Agromatic ensures their electric actuators take up a safe position even if there is a fault or a total failure in the power supply. It is possible to determine the direction of rotation the actuator takes to move to a safe position by placing a jumper. When the power supply is applied again the module resumes normal operations.
Suitable for actuators powered with an operating voltage of 24 VDC it is possible to integrate the fail-safe module in an existing actuator circuit. In addition, only a permanent 24 VDC power supply voltage is required. If the permanent supply voltage suffers a failure the fail-safe module switches to battery operation and moves the actuator to the selected safe position. The energy stored in the module is replenished during normal operations when the supply voltage is reinstated.
The fail-safe module is designed for mounting onto top-hat mounting rails inside an electrical cabinet and houses all of the electronic components required to perform the desired function. If you have any questions, our Sales team will be pleased to help you with your enquiry.
