The Pump Summit recently celebrated its premiere in Düsseldorf, Germany. Pump experts from around the world took the opportunity to network and to share views about promising technologies. The networking event on December 2nd and 3rd was staged in parallel to the Valve World Expo. Visitors had the occasion to catch up on pumps and valves.
At the Congress Center Düsseldorf participants were informed about current developments in the field of pumps and seals. The supporting expert Conference with 25 lectures received positive feedback from the delegates. Here, professional experts from various industries discussed about new market and technology trends and introduced innovative solutions.
More than 30 exhibitors from Germany, Italy, England, China and the United States showcased innovative technologies, components and systems on December 2nd and 3rd. The main focus was on pumps, pump components and parts, seals, materials as well as engineering services and software.
Various market leaders of the pump sector and its supplying industries exhibited at the Congress Center Düsseldorf. The conference was held next door to the Exhibition. In this way manufacturers and end users were brought together in a targeted manner at the Pump Summit. Trade visitors had free access to the Conference.
Pumps have to transfer solid, liquid and gaseous media in a safe and reliable way. They are used in a variety of industries. The Exhibition and Conference centered on different markets such as water and waste water, building services, food and beverage industry, mining, (petro) chemical industry, oil and gas, power generation, pharmaceutical industry, ship building, paper and cellulose industry as well as engineering and contracting.
The Pump Summit was supported by Messe Düsseldorf. Friedrich Kehrer, Project Manager at Messe Düsseldorf and Director of Valve World Expo, comments, “We are confident that the Pump Summit supplies the industry with a new and interesting networking platform.”
Conference with 25 lectures Parallel to the exhibition the Pump Summit Conference took place. A total of 25 lectures from international experts of the pump and sealing industry as well of various end user markets covered a wide range of subjects. “I am pleased with the premiere of this Conference,” says Kyra van den Beek, Conference Manager of the Pump Summit Conference 2014. “We had a lively exchange between the Conference speakers and visitors.” The focus of this year’s presentations was on various topics and trends such as energy efficiency, life cycle costs, Industry 4.0, new designs and materials.
Valve World Conference & Expo Visitors of the Valve World Expo also stopped at the Pump Summit. With an exhibition space of 18.000 square meters and 665 exhibitors, the 9th international trade fair and conference for industrial valves exceeded all previous events. At the exhibition halls 3, 4 and 5 new technologies, components and systems were showcased during the three day trade show. The Valve World Expo registered a marked visitor growth of about 18 percent to 12,500 trade fair guests. Once again, the Valve World Conference took place concurrently with the trade fair. For the first time the conference venue had been integrated in Hall 4. Experts from around the globe engaged more than 400 conference delegates in an exchange on the innovations form the dynamically growing valve technology segment and related upstream and downstream technologies in about 70 lectures and workshops. The first Valve World Expo Forum in Hall 5 D 06 introduced and discussed topics surrounding innovative technologies. The open discussion forum brought together exhibitors’ customers to present their experiences and talk about current issues facing the industry.
Pump Summit 2016 In 2016 the Pump Summit will be held twice. The Exhibition and Conference will be held in early 2016 in the USA and at the end of the year again parallel to the Valve World Expo on November 29th and 30th in Düsseldorf, Germany. “We will hold on to our concept of offering a networking platform for the pump industry. However, the venue at Düsseldorf fair ground will change. The Pump Summit will move from the Congress Center Düsseldorf to one of the exhibition halls. In this way we want to combine the Pump Summit and the Valve World Expo more strongly,” announces Marcus Rohrbacher, Director Pumps Europe, Africa, Middle East at KCI GmbH.
