The PREMIO-Plus 2G electric linear actuator from ARI-Armaturen is particularly suitable for temperature control of liquid, incompressible media. Pneumatic DP actuators, on the other hand, are often suitable for pressure control of gaseous, compressible media because of their fast response time.
For users, the easy handling of the actuator is an enormous advantage. The PREMIO-Plus 2G can be put into operation quickly and easily - even without instructions - via a clear, intuitive control panel. Via this control panel, for example, the Economy function can be used, which enables a more material-friendly and efficient conversion of the control signals.
This function ensures a long service life for the actuator, which also increases energy efficiency thanks to its integrated motor. The brushless DC motor (BLDC) is particularly smooth-running and measures significantly lower power consumption due to its higher efficiency.
Status query via a suitable app
The PREMIO-Plus 2G has a basic drive that can be adapted to a wide variety of voltages with transformers or switching power supplies, for example 230 V or ~400 V. As standard, the drive is equipped with a 110 V to 240 V switching power supply. The motor speed is variably adjusted by means of a slide switch, which allows the setting speed to be selected on site. The variable speed control and the approach of small position deviations ensure exceptional durability.
The PREMIO-Plus 2G is used with ARI STEVI control valves up to nominal size DN 250. The permissible ambient temperature is -20°C to +70°C. The actuator has protection class IP65, positioning forces of 2.2 kN, 5 kN, 12 kN, 15 kN and 25 kN, manual emergency adjustment, a tight-closing function, automatic operating fault detection and an integrated humidity sensor to prevent condensation on the electronic board.
With an optional communication package, users can also take advantage of a comprehensive digital offering to obtain further benefits and information. The additional package, which includes a Bluetooth module, an LED status display and a position indicator, allows the actuator to be queried and controlled via the ARI app myPREMIO. This is used to share important status information, statistics, event logs, trend curves or histograms, which, among other things, can be used to provide assistance for optimal drive setting via remote diagnosis.
Even a 30-minute power failure is no problem
With the Anybus system, a wide variety of fieldbus systems, such as Profibus DP, Profinet or Modbus, are also available. This means that applications for Industry 4.0 are also supported.
From the beginning of 2024, ARI will expand the product portfolio for the PREMIO-Plus2G with an uninterruptible emergency power supply. The new UPS module (uninterruptible power supply) will continue to supply the actuator with power for approx. 30 minutes after a power failure, so that a defined position can be reached or the system can be moved to a safe state in a controlled manner.
