GF has successfully completed the acquisition of the VAG Group, an international manufacturer and supplier of metal valve solutions for water supply systems headquartered in Mannheim, Germany. The purchase price amounts to approximately EUR 206 million (CHF 200 million). This acquisition strengthens GF's position in the infrastructure sector, particularly in Europe and the Middle East.
The product portfolio of the VAG Group, whose metal valves play a central role in water supply networks, perfectly complements GF's existing expertise and at the same time opens new business opportunities in other industrial segments. VAG will become part of the GF Industry and Infrastructure Flow Solutions division. The integration expands GF's already broad range of products for infrastructure projects, which includes pipes, fittings, valves, connection technology, rainwater management, and repair solutions.
“The acquisition of the VAG Group is an important step for GF in becoming the global market leader in flow solutions. We offer comprehensive solutions that help our customers renew aging infrastructure and build resilient water networks for the future,” says Andreas Müller, CEO of GF.
“We are delighted to welcome the VAG team to GF as we strive to continue developing innovative and sustainable solutions for our existing and new customers worldwide.”
The VAG Group will be included in GF's consolidated financial statements as of October 1, 2025. The acquisition was financed from operating cash flow and proceeds from the divestment of GF Machining Solutions.
