GF and Parker Hannifin have developed a pre-assembled valve and coupling solution for direct liquid cooling (DLC) in data centres. At the heart of the system is the GF Quick Connect Valve 700, combined with Parker's E-Z Form hose to create a ready-to-connect assembly.
Valve technology for secure connections
The Quick Connect Valve 700 features a dual-ball-valve design and a patented locking mechanism. The connection can only be disconnected when the valve is fully closed, helping prevent accidental coolant release during operation and maintenance.
According to GF, the PVDF valve is up to 50% lighter than comparable metal alternatives. Its full-bore design optimises flow performance while reducing pressure drop by up to 25%. The smooth PVDF body also helps minimise particle retention and reduce flushing requirements.
Pre-assembled plug-and-play solution
The valve is connected to Parker's E-Z Form hose via a crimp fitting. The hose accommodates tight bends while maintaining full-flow, kink-free performance. Valve, coupling, fitting and hose are specified and validated as one coordinated system.
Factory assembly is also designed to reduce interface and tolerance risks. Controlled crimp parameters, combined with pre-cleaned, sealed and tested hose assemblies, support consistent quality and system cleanliness.
The joint solution is aimed particularly at direct liquid cooling systems for high-performance data centres. As AI applications drive higher computing densities, the demands placed on reliable valves and connections throughout cooling circuits are increasing.
