The valve manufacturer GEMÜ has launched a patented sealing system for needle/pipe filling systems. This new adaptation technology ensures a hermetic separation between the drive mechanism and the media, effectively preventing lift effects and contamination of the media.
Building on the GEMÜ F40 and GEMÜ F60 servoDrive filling valve platforms, the proven Plug-Diaphragm (PD) technology has been expanded with a new PD variant that incorporates a stainless steel thread pressed directly into the PTFE during the sintering process. This new sealing system eliminates the need for flushing behind the packing seals.
Additionally, the risk of contamination due to lubricants from the drive or lift effects is now eliminated. The new GEMÜ PD, combined with the high-performance GEMÜ F40 and GEMÜ F60 drives, enhances the hygiene and performance of any filling application using needle/pipe systems across all media and containers.
Filling systems using needles or tubes are commonly employed for liquid and viscous media. This method is especially prevalent in the cosmetics industry, the filling of pharmaceutical products, and the food industry, such as for dairy products, juices, and sauces. With this new adaptation technology, GEMÜ offers the opportunity to significantly enhance the safety, precision, and speed of the filling process.
