The new placement robot enables a 30 % increase in efficiency.
A German valve manufacturer recently commissioned a new machining centre. The acquired DMG CLX 450 turning/milling centre is intended to increase the efficiency of the production processes. In addition, the manufacturer of industrial valves states that the new system fits optimally into the existing CNC machine park.
Where previously complex components had to be processed on at least two different machines, they can now be mass-produced fully automatically 24/7 with the help of the placement robot. This results in an efficiency increase of about 30 % and a capacity increase of 300 %.
“We are taking the consistently positive experience as an opportunity to invest further in robot-assisted machines in order to be able to continue to meet the increasing demands on quality and quantity in Germany as a manufacturing location”, Pruss Armaturen GmbH announced.
