The H2BW platform and the state pilot project Transformationswissen BW have published an interactive web application that clearly explains the basics of hydrogen technologies. The H2 TechGuide presents the three most important processes currently in use in digital form, according to the agencies supervised by the state agency e-mobil BW.
The focus is on proton exchange membrane fuel cells (PEMFC), proton exchange membrane electrolysis (PEMEL), and alkaline electrolysis (AEL). Users can click through the functionality of individual components and understand their role in the overall system. In addition, the tool provides information on the necessary manufacturing technologies and material properties of the components.
The TechGuide is aimed at beginners without in-depth prior knowledge. It offers low-threshold access to topics such as the supply and production of fuel cell and electrolysis components.
According to their own statements, the participating agencies are pursuing the goal of disseminating knowledge about sustainable and forward-looking technologies. Under the title “H2BWissen,” H2BW regularly publishes its own studies on green hydrogen, its production possibilities, and the demand and potential in Baden-Württemberg. The state had already launched a comprehensive funding initiative for hydrogen projects in February.
In addition, Transformationswissen BW publishes the “Wissen Kompakt” series with short thematic introductions. All publications relating to hydrogen and fuel cell technologies are also available in the e-mobil BW database.
