At the beginning of the year, Winfried Kretschmann, the Prime Minister of Baden-Württemberg, visited the Ettlingen headquarters of ROTECH and its neighbor and business partner, Air Torque. He discussed hydrogen and energy solutions, as well as the importance of inter-European cooperation on climate and energy issues, with ROTECH's managing directors Heinz Peters, Daniel Wise, and Bastian Rüger. Also involved in the discussion were various other guests from politics and business and the 50-member ROTECH team.
ROTECH also took this opportunity to present its contributions to well-known major projects, particularly its own manufactured limit switch boxes. These are designed to meet the increasing demands of the energy sector. Their special feature is that they are flexibly usable and can switch from natural gas to hydrogen structures without losing functionality.
Order from BASF
One of Germany's largest energy suppliers is already using the limit switch boxes for natural gas and hydrogen storage. BASF has also sourced around 5,000 limit switch boxes from ROTECH for its plant under construction in Zhanjiang, China. These have been specially adapted to the high plant requirements of the chemical company.
Equipped with up to seven sensors for process monitoring, the ROTECH boxes ensure maximum safety in plant processes. Each main sensor has one or more redundant sensors that step in if the main sensor fails. Thus, the components guarantee continuous process monitoring for the complex valves of the BASF plant.
ROTECH cooperates with more than ten other valve manufacturers for the project in Zhanjiang. What BASF is building here will be the third-largest integrated site of the chemical company upon its expected completion in 2030. The site aims to stand out globally in the areas of smart manufacturing and sustainable production.
