The valve manufacturer Hartmann Valves is now providing short-term and temporary solutions for plant operators. The supplier is adding API 6A rental valves to its range.
For temporary applications, test scenarios or short-term projects, plant operators sometimes need valves quickly or temporarily. The new rental equipment from Hartmann Valves is designed to meet this demand.
Timo Hein, Head of Service and Repair at Hartmann Valves: “The rental offer enables temporary replacements for repairs or overhauls. It also offers companies the opportunity to overcome operational challenges without having to make long-term capital investments."
The new valves for rental correspond to the proven designs from the API 6A standard delivery program. The specification of the rental valves including gearboxes includes EE-NL (AA, BB and DD), L/X, PSL 3 and PR1. Hartmann Valves has had the API 6A valves in its catalog for several years. The standard program has been on the market since 2021.
Advantage through ball valves
Due to its design, the product range not only enables the replacement of identical valves, but also the changing of borehole heads from spade valves to ball valves. Such a switch pays off in many respects and even literally.
Unlike a gate valve, a ball valve cannot block. It also has two seals, which further contributes to safety. Minimal movement of the switching shaft means that wear is significantly lower and maintenance costs are also low. Furthermore, the threshold seal of the ball valves complies with the emission limits of DIN ISO 15 848 and therefore also stands out in terms of environmental friendliness.
