HYTING has developed a patent-pending air heating system based on a catalytic process. The system converts hydrogen and atmospheric oxygen into heat without combustion. The catalyst acts as a reaction accelerator. A key advantage: The system operates without flammable hydrogen concentrations and produces no NOx or particulate emissions - water is the only by-product.
The modular technology covers nominal outputs from 10 to 300 kilowatts. This enables applications in both residential and commercial building heating as well as commercial vehicles. Prototypes are currently in the testing phase.
Experienced Partner for Market Launch
ebm-papst brings its long-standing hydrogen expertise from its own H2 laboratory at the Landshut site. The company's gas products are already certified for hydrogen blending and can be optimally used in the HYTING heat generator. The heating technology specialist plans to manufacture the heat generators at its own production facilities in Landshut.
"We are excited and proud to work with ebm-papst," emphasizes HYTING founder Tim Hannig. "ebm-papst's knowledge, capabilities, experience, and infrastructure significantly accelerate our market entry while reducing risks." Dr. Hannes Säubert, CEO Heating Technology at ebm-papst, also sees "great potential in HYTING's innovative technology" and emphasizes how it fits with his company's multi-technology approach in heating technology.
