In November 2025, the AVA Group from Ratingen completed its first supplier audit in accordance with the Together for Sustainability (TFS) initiative standard. The company achieved a score of 96 percent. The audit was conducted jointly with a key customer from the mineral oil, gas, and chemical industry and assessed environmental, social, and ethical standards along the supply chain.
“Sustainability is no longer a competitive factor—it is a prerequisite for future viability. As a trading company, we see it as our responsibility to actively contribute to Mission Zero 2050 and offer our customers sustainable solutions. Where quality meets sustainability, real progress is made,” says Frank Alms, managing partner of the AVA Group.
Continuous development of the sustainability strategy
The company not only supports the TFS initiative, but also continuously works on its sustainability strategy and emphasizes the importance of cooperation with customers and suppliers for responsible supply chains. Quality and sustainability are understood as central elements of corporate activity.
The successful audit follows on from further measures taken in recent years. Back in March 2025, the AVA Group joined the United Nations Global Compact, thereby committing itself to its ten principles in the areas of human rights, labor standards, the environment, and anti-corruption. With the result now achieved, the company is consistently continuing along this path.
