Aiding academic progression, and supporting engineers of the future, is a key part of AUMA actuator’s business philosophy. A recent example of AUMA’s proactive approach to providing vocational experience was a placement for one of its apprentices at the group’s main Indian subsidiary. Anna Fuessner, an under graduate at the University of Applied Sciences in Loerrach, Germany spent three months on a placement at AUMA India in Bangalore.

Anna worked alongside the Indian organisation’s 260 employees assisting with practical production duties and general administration supporting shipment of the company’s modular electric actuators. AUMA also has a strong Corporate Social Responsibility ethos and, as part of this, a delivery van has been donated by the company to support a new project in India delivering food to schools. The charitable initiative is designed to encourage more children into the education system.
