AUMA has achieved a top ten placement in the prestigious, and highly contested, European Business Awards. Eminent business leaders, academics, politicians and journalists on the judging panel included the former Belgian Prime Minister and BP’s Vice President. Competing against global blue-chip and FMCG companies, the top ten ranking for AUMA is a major achievement for the SME which manufactures in Germany and has a growing international support and distribution organisation. As one of the finalists, AUMA received a Ruban d’honneur award in the Infosys Business of the Year category for companies with turnover over EUR 150million.
Extensive analysis of AUMA’s operation was carried out to assess the company, this included evaluation of its full business model.
Business processes and values investigated included innovation for product development, customer focus, staff management and wider issues such as social commitment and employee involvement. Commenting on the significance of achievement, AUMA’s Technical Managing Director Henrik Newerla advised that placement in the top ten is the most significant accolade to date that publicly acknowledges AUMA’s business philosophy and organisational values. He added that only candidates with stamina and conviction across all areas of analysis are robust enough to withstand the rigorous scrutiny conducted as part of the award process.
