Arflu Valves, a Spain-based company specialising in industrial valves, has created a new enhanced range of plug valves that are helping to meet the constantly increasing worldwide demand for fresh drinking water.
These valves, distributed by UK-based Trouvay & Cauvin, are an essential part of the process of reverse osmosis that is often used to desalinate seawater. Reverse osmosis forces seawater through a membrane under considerable pressure allowing the pure drinking water through to the other side.
In addition to the membrane, control valves are the most critical element. Trouvay & Cauvin also offers a full range of valves for desalination. Each is designed to international standards with relevant material selection options including Duplex, Super Duplex and Incoloy.
