To meet the rising demand from the oil & gas, petrochemical and other industries in Saudi Arabia, EagleBurgmann Saudi Arabia Ltd has greatly expanded its production capacities in this region. Sales, production and a service center have been set up on an area of around 2000m2 in a new building in Al-Khobar, 30km from the most important air and seaport in the eastern province.

At the end of October the new production facility was presented to more than 100 guests from top-name companies such as Saudi Aramco, SABIC and Chevron. EagleBurgmann Saudi Arabia is a joint venture between EagleBurgmann (85%) and Gas Arabian Services (15%). The company aims to increase its share of the mechanical seal market to 30% by 2015.

The new production facility has been equipped with new, latest-generation machinery such as 5-axis CNC units, lathes, grinders, lapping machines, sand blasting machines and test rigs for testing the seals in accordance with API 682. A test rig for DGS seals is planned for the near future.

The long-term goal of EagleBurgmann Saudi Arabia Ltd is to open additional service centers in Saudi Arabia in order to ensure even greater proximity to the customer and to cover all existing market segments.
