The mere thought of diving 10,000 m into the depths brings beads of sweat to many people's foreheads. For some, 100 bar(g) is a considerable pressure, but for ACI Industriearmaturen GmbH, valves in pressure class PN 100 are the absolute standard.
The existing piping system of a customer is designed in the nominal width DN 50. The type 590 is a welded construction. The sight glass plates, which were manufactured in accordance with DIN7080, are enclosed in a solid housing.
Graphite gaskets for any medium
Type 590 has flange connections according to DIN EN 1092-1, with the nominal pressure rating PN 100 the sealing surface form is B2. With Type 590, supply lines or even bypass lines can be integrated into the process monitoring.
The flow sight glass for this current order is designed for operating temperatures of -10°C to +280°C. At +280°C, a remarkable 83.3 bar(g) is still possible. The Frenzelit novaphit® MST-XP graphite seals used are resistant to almost any medium.
Large viewing diameters
Due to their thermal preload, the sightglass plates used offer sufficient performance to ensure a safe view of the process. With the nominal diameter DN 50, considerable sight diameters can be realised, the free sight diameter is Ø 65 mm and is unrestricted.
When selecting the housing and flange materials, ACI generally uses the corrosion-resistant stainless steel 1.4571 (F316Ti). Other materials are also possible at the customer's request. The choice of materials is only limited by the material data sheets W2/W9/W10 of the AD2000 or the VdTÜV data sheets. Certification in accordance with DGRL 2014/68/EU Module H also allows large nominal diameters to be designed in high pressure stages.
