Gazprom Neft has announced that it has exited the oilfield services business after selling off two more business units to a compatriot outfit. The company’s offshoot Gazpromneft-Nefteservis has offloaded Servisnaya Burovaya Kompaniya (SBK) and KRS-Servis to RU-Energy Group.
The deals to sell both SBK and KRS were struck in December, Gapzrom Neft said, but confirmation was only made on January 23rd after the sales were passed by Russia’s anti-monopoly body. “SBK and KRS will retain their long-term contracts with the Gazprom Neft group companies, with a guaranteed amount of work by the end of 2013.” Gazprom Neft’s board decided in early 2010 to exit the oilfield services market with various business units offloaded all through 2011.
