On April 4th, an opening ceremony took place in Manoir Pîtres to mark the new investment of its machining center.The presence of customers and regional politicians showed the importance of supporting high technology investment in Normandy.To support its strong growth in the nuclear and conventional casting market, Manoir Pîtres has invested in a crutial piece of equipment: an horizontal machining center.This major investment contributes to the new first step of Manoir Pîtres’position as a key partnership in conventional and nuclear sectors. It enables the Areva pluri-annual partnership agreement signed in April 2012 in the framework of the first 1300 MW EDF nuclear plant generator replacement and gives Manoir Pîtres the possibility to machine the nuclear loops consisting of large size elbows and tubes.
