Measurement technology specialist reports successful business results for 2023
The Swiss-based family business has created 715 new jobs worldwide.
Endress+Hauser recorded impressive growth in its anniversary year. The manufacturer of measurement and automation technology increased its consolidated annual turnover by 11 percent to more than 3.7 billion euros in 2023. The Swiss-based family business created 715 new jobs worldwide and employed a total of 16,532 people at the end of the year. Endress+Hauser plans to continue its growth trajectory in the current year.
“Endress+Hauser recorded strong organic growth in 2023, fuelled by a record-high order backlog at the start of the year”, says Chief Financial Officer Dr Luc Schultheiss. Individual markets and sectors developed very differently. Economic momentum slowed noticeably in the second half of the year. “Nevertheless, we were able to maintain our order intake at a good level and want to continue to exploit growth opportunities in 2024”, emphasises Dr Peter Selders, the Group's new CEO since the start of the year.
Last year, the company celebrated its 70th anniversary. The highlight was an anniversary week in Switzerland: 5,500 employees came to Basel for the big celebration and looked back on seven decades. At the first Endress+Hauser Global Forum, over 800 customers discussed the question of how the sustainable transformation of the process industry can succeed. Hundreds of employees took part in internal conferences; 600 young talents exchanged ideas at the Young Generation Networking Day alone.
