Hannover Messe 2024 presents an exciting innovation: for the first time, there will be an Embedded Park. This will showcase the latest technologies and developments in the embedded sector, from edge computing, embedded vision and software solutions to components, modules and electronic displays. The Embedded Park expands the trade fair programme and offers visitors a comprehensive insight into this important segment of the industry.
New exhibition focus on embedded systems
Exhibitors include OSADL, the community for open source in the industry. Open Source Automation Development Lab (OSADL) eG offers everything necessary for the use, distribution and licensing of open source software components in industrial products. This includes the software itself, but also quality, licensing and compliance as well as safety and security aspects. OSADL's business model is based on the principle: develop once, use many times.
Deutschmann Automation presents the embedded version of the new UNIGATE FALCON protocol converter series, which can be integrated immediately. "This enables the integration of Industrial Ethernet or fieldbus interfaces directly into end products, without a housing. With an installation height of only approx. 25 mm, it also fits into cramped environments without the need to modify the electronics. In addition to the familiar UNIGATE IC/IC2 embedded solutions, UNIGATE FALCON Embedded offers an alternative for integrating an Industrial Ethernet or fieldbus interface directly into the end device," says Michael Reiter, Managing Director of Deutschmann Automation.
Current embedded trends and solutions
Smart devices, robots and IIoT applications are based on compact, powerful and energy-efficient electronics. Exhibitor PHYTEC will show how these embedded systems can be developed quickly and cost-effectively and how companies can benefit from development and lifecycle services - from software to security and device management. "We will also be presenting a new standard for embedded modules that enables upgrades and product variants and thus creates investment security," says Ralf Orschau, Sales Manager at Phytec Messtechnik GmbH.
The company NET New Electronic Technology GmbH presents the iam smart camera system. It sets standards for autonomous decision-making with a system architecture that enables AI applications with powerful neural networks and fast image processing algorithms. "Integrated hardware acceleration optimises the autonomous decision-making processes. The versatility of the system offers configuration options for diverse applications, allowing users to benefit from efficiency, accuracy and performance," explains Tim Miller, Product Manager for Industrial Vision.
In the Speakers Corner of the Embedded Park, experts will provide information on current trends and solutions. Speakers include Jenny Shern, NexAIoT Co Ltd/NexCOBOT, Ricky Watts, Intel, Robert Albach, Palo Alto Networks, Patrick Hartmann, Phoenix Contact, and Hamza Bilgen, Bosch.
