New investment projects at Blagoveschensky valve plant
A new investment project that includes the acquisition, installation, and commissioning of new equipment for the modernisation of production and the improvement of quality and range of products has been launched at the Annunciation Valve Plant.
Four new lathes and boring milling machines with numerical controls will be installed, as will new test stands that can provide more accurate test results on the pressure drop. The equipment assembly is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2013. The plant will also receive a new line for the flaskless moulding and commission an arc furnace with a capacity of 4 tonnes of liquid steel.
As a part of this investment project, a new CNC lathe will be commissioned. Qualitative acceptance tests will be performed on the test bed for new products. The company will also be building additional storage space. The complete installation of the new equipment and the expansion are planned to be finalized in the first quarter of 2015.
Igor Voronin, MD of BAZ said, "The launch of the new equipment will allow the supply of valves to increase, improve product quality, expand the market and strengthen its leading market position in the future. The total amount of funds allocated for the implementation of the investment program of the plant in 2013–2014 will reach more than RUB 600M (USD 18M)."
