After many years of economic decline, Phönix Armaturenwerke is now back on a solid footing. With Valvosider, the company has a long-term and reliable owner and can look to the future with optimism.
Thorsten Seefried took over the management at the end of 2022 when the company was facing financial difficulties and ultimately had to file for insolvency (IAD reported). After a few months, an investor was found. Valvosider, a renowned Italian family business with extensive experience in the field of industrial valves, took over Phönix Armaturenwerke in August 2023.
Since then, Thorsten Seefried has accompanied the new owners as interim CEO and handed over the management completely to Pier Luigi Moretta from Valvosider at the end of the year. The two long-standing employees Gunter Wodara and Hajnalka Stein will support Pier Luigi Moretta on site as authorised signatories.
Despite the general economic uncertainty, incoming orders have risen sharply again in recent months. Two million-euro orders for a chemical plant in China have just been delivered. In recent weeks, the company has concluded new long-term framework agreements with customers and won several major projects - more are currently being negotiated.
