Precision Valve Automation Inc. has acquired a local company as it prepares to move headquarters by this summer. Precision Valve has acquired Lanart Works Inc., a machine shop in Watervliet.
Going forward, Lanart will operate under the Precision Valve name, and all six of its employees will join the 75-person local work force of Precision Valve. Precision Valve is a privately held company that makes robotic machines used to apply glues and coatings on a wide range of products, from solar energy panels and cell phones to missiles and vacuum cleaners.
Precision Valve is fitting up a 115,000sq/ft building in Colonie, New York, and plans to finish moving operations there by June.
