Processcomponent AB of Sweden has released their 3rd generation universal positioners for pneumatic, electric & hydraulic actuators. The Quick Stepper ECP combines a positioner with a regulator, and has a maintenance alarm with valve & actuator statistics.

It features a built-in PI controller, 4 analog alarms, and an analog output for a valve position signal. The positioner does not have to be mounted on the actuator, making it less sensitive to heat and vibration. They are available with consoles for wall and tube mounting.

They also feature adjustable running time to open & close, and a boost function for large actuators or fast control. The Quick Stepper pneumatic version has no air consumption and manual control, even during a power failure.
