Richter Chemie-Technik, exhibitor at the last Valve World Expo in Düsseldorf, has expanded its range of valves: Butterfly valves and other components with conductive PFA lining are now available. These are particularly suitable for safety-critical applications in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries.
The extended range now includes shut-off control butterfly valves in conductive PFA design in addition to already available products such as ball valves, control valves, sight glass fittings and safety and non-return valves. The linings meet the requirements of the FDA and fulfil the provisions of the Technical Instructions on Air Quality Control (TA Luft).
The material used is conductive perfluoroalkoxy (PFA) - a high-performance plastic from the fluoropolymer family, which is characterized by excellent chemical resistance, thermal stability and non-stick properties. The conductive version prevents the accumulation of static electricity and thus reduces the risk of sparks and explosions.
The fittings are manufactured using the precise transfer moulding process, which ensures a uniform lining with a minimum layer thickness of 3.5 mm. This process ensures high dimensional accuracy and mechanical strength of the products.
Thanks to their FDA conformity and TA-Luft certification, the new components are ideal for applications with the highest standards of purity and environmental protection - for example in the pharmaceutical, biotech or chemical process industries.
