Successful delivery of triple offset butterfly valves
A pneumatic high-temperature triple butterfly valve for a propane dehydration project has successfully passed the owner's acceptance test.
A Chinese valve manufacturer has successfully delivered a triple-offset pneumatic butterfly valve for a propane dehydration project of a domestic customer. The product successfully passed the owner's acceptance test. With a design diameter of 96 inches and a design temperature of 816 degrees Celsius, the butterfly valve meets the demanding working conditions.
To meet these requirements, various engineering approaches were applied, including finite element analysis, thermal field analysis and fluid analysis. The manufacturer also developed customised designs to overcome problems such as tightness and high torque at high temperatures. A successful assembly test was unanimously approved by customers.
To meet the increasing demand for high-performance butterfly valves, the manufacturer has expanded its butterfly valve plant, which was commissioned in 2022. The annual production capacity of the first phase is $150 million, with an annual production capacity of about 30,000 sets of butterfly valves in the size range of 2 to 120 inches. The plant features smart manufacturing, an automated assembly line and a smart warehouse.
