Roman Gaida will be responsible for Bürkert Fluid Control Systems' global sales and marketing activities as Chief Sales Officer (CSO) from 1st November 2023. Having previously worked at Mitsubishi Electric Europe, he now completes the management team of the fluidics specialist.
Roman Gaida has extensive industrial experience in various roles and internationally operating companies. After training as a cutting machine operator, he then took on various jobs at Wieland-Werke in Ulm. This was followed by a degree in industrial engineering and an Executive MBA Technology Management. He was then responsible for business development in plasma coating at OC Oerlikon Balzers.
Since 2017, he has been responsible for EMEA sales, marketing, service and engineering for CNC products in the Europe, Middle East and Africa regions at Mitsubishi Electric Europe. He is also part of Mitsubishi's European factory automation leadership team.
“Continuing the success story”
Bürkert thus fills the vacant position of CSO and completes its restructuring in the management team. At the beginning of April, Georg Stawowy had taken office as the new Managing Director at Bürkert
“We are delighted to have gained a dynamic executive in Mr Gaida. He brings with him broad technical and international experience. It was important for both sides to see a high degree of alignment in our values. We are convinced that Mr Gaida fits very well into the Bürkert culture, which is characterised by appreciation, respect and mutual trust”, CEO Georg Stawowy reports on the recruitment.
For Roman Gaida, it is above all “the cultural fit and the Bürkert technology as well as its diverse areas of application” that have particularly convinced him.
“Furthermore, despite its international orientation, Bürkert is characterised by a strong customer orientation, which is particularly important in solution sales. The impressive innovative strength and the committed team have significantly influenced my decision. I look forward to continuing to grow as CSO together with the team and to continuing Bürkert's success story”, Gaida continues.
