Valbart Srl, an Italy-based valve company, with an EUR 80 million turnover in API 6A and API 6D trunnion mounted ball valves, has opened its new factory in China: BPS (Pipeline Valves Chengdu Co. Ltd). The opening Ceremony will be held in Cheng Du, Sichuan Region, on 12 October and will see the gathering of Valbart Group management, agents, suppliers as well as customers and local authorities.

The new factory, with the minority partnership of the Y&J Group (China), will produce API 6D trunnion mounted ball valves for the local market as well as for overseas markets, in the range 2in - 24in and up to rating 600#. All the necessary know-how and technology of BPS will be supplied and developed by Valbart. The valves will be 100% manufactured and tested in the Chengdu 6000sq/m plant under the supervision of resident Italian managers.

The main materials (pressure containing parts, gaskets, manual operators) will be sourced in China: the supply chain has been accurately selected during one year of severe prequalification activities. All the valves will be Fire Safe to API 607, API 6FA and ISO 10497.
