The valve manufacturer Siebeck is moving its headquarters from Ratingen to Mettmann. The move, only 26 kilometers away from the previous location, offers the company, which has been in existence since the 19th century, new prospects. Mettmann convinced the company with optimal growth conditions and proactive support from the city's business development department.
At the new site, in a 2,000 square meter production hall, Siebeck will manufacture, test and adapt industrial valves to serve the global market. The decision in favor of Mettmann was based not only on the good transport connections, but above all on the committed help of the local business development agency, which actively promotes the company's growth.
“I am more than satisfied with how quickly we were able to realize our new company headquarters in Mettmann,” explained company boss Michael Siebeck during the visit by Mayor Sandra Pietschmann and members of the Committee for Economic Development, Tourism and Property Matters. For Mettmann, the establishment of Siebeck Armaturen represents a further important economic boost.
Valves weighing up to two tons
“The Siebeck company is a valuable addition to our economy. With its international customer base and innovative solutions, it strengthens the economic structure in our city and provides jobs for the region. We are delighted that the company has chosen Mettmann,” said Mayor Pietschmann.
Siebeck has been producing ball valves, gate valves and valves for tankers and bitumen vehicles since 1896. By using modern production techniques and materials, the company develops customized solutions for its customers.
As part of the realignment of its production processes and cooperation with specialist suppliers, Siebeck is striving to optimize and increase efficiency. The spacious production hall in Neanderpark creates ideal conditions for the precise machining, adaptation and testing of valves that can weigh up to two tons. A modern CNC machining center and a specialized workshop will be available for custom-made products. Siebeck plans to start production in Mettmann in April.
