COG offers a variety of outstanding sealing compounds against explosive decompression (AED). FKM, HNBR and FFKM compounds which were especially developed for highest demands in the oil and gas industry. All compounds are tested extensive and fulfill the NORSOK Standar. Two of them are suitable for use in API 6A & 6D valves and wellhead equipment. Important to know: Explosive decompression occurs when an extremely sudden drop of pressure takes place. The result is mostly a damaged elastomer sealing.
