SIL:
The Safety Integrity Level (SIL) is a relative measure of the probability that the safety system can correctly provide the required safety functions for a given period of time.
The higher the safety integrity level, the greater reduction of the risk.
Scope:
At Duxvalves a performance assessment has been carried out to IEC 61508 for the following scope:
DCV-C series:
Size : 0,5 to 6”
Rating : ASME 150 – 2.500 Lbs
API 2.000 - 15.000 Lbs
DCV-E series:
Size : 0,5 to 6”
Rating : ASME 150 – 2.500 Lbs
API 2.000 - 15.000 Lbs
DCV-F series:
Size : 0,5 to 1”
Rating : ASME 150 – 2.500 Lbs
DCV-G series:
Size : 0,5 to 6”
Rating : ASME 150 – 2.500 Lbs
API 2.000 - 15.000 Lbs
SIL Level:
IEC 61511/61508 describes four safety levels that describe the measures for handling risks from plants of plant components. Results are that Duxvalves in above mentioned scope are capable to perform at SIL-3 in a single actuated valve configuration and SIL-4 in a double configuration.
The SIL performance assessment to IEC 61508 has been executed by DIAC (Dependable Industrial Automation Consult) and certified by Lloyds Register with number: ROT 1316579
