Hydrogen seems to be one everyone’s lips but how do the key technology sectors of industrial fittings and valves confront it?
How can existing gas pipelines be refitted cost-efficiently, when will sufficient new pipelines be produced and used throughout the country, and will hydrogen production become more inexpensive in future? Where is the skilled labour to build and fill these pipelines?
So many questions for an industry that is undergoing rapid transition. The currently 327 exhibitors from 29 countries taking part in the VALVE WORLD EXPO with Congress in Düsseldorf from 3 to 5 December 2024 will showcase the innovations this sector has in store for the energy transition. A very good interim result and only 60 exhibitors short of the final 2022 exhibitor numbers – and this 10 months to the start of the trade fair.
The exhibits on show at the No. 1 trade fair for industrial valves range from powerful machinery and equipment to tiny special valves, thereby mapping the entire value chain in industrial valves.
At present, 11,200 square metres of exhibition space have already been booked, almost as much space as occupied by the whole event in 2022 (11,450 sqm).
The convincing interim registration figures already reflect today that the sector firmly believes in its leading event as an innovation driver and international community platform. Alongside German companies, exhibitors from Italy, Spain, the UK, Turkey, the USA, India and China will be represented in Düsseldorf again.
Here, every two years, the industry gets together at the international industrial valve summit to exchange ideas on innovations, trends and solutions. “Düsseldorf as a hotspot of the industrial valve industries – accompanied by a high-calibre Congress, the Valve Star Awards and the sustainable ecoMetal trails – is a “must” for the high performers in industry,” promises Daniel Ryfisch, Director at Messe Düsseldorf. Together with his team he looks to the trade fair kick-off on 3 December with anticipation.
In 2024 the ecoMetals campaign by Messe Düsseldorf will again accompany the VALVE WORLD EXPO. With the help of a QR code visitors can decide themselves when to plan their tours to the exhibitors at the fair to find out live at the stand how sustainably these firms manufacture at their plants.
After their successful debut in 2022, the Valve Star Awards will also be presented to especially innovative companies and their products in 2024. Organised by the Vulkan-Verlag publishing house, exhibitors can submit their products with a brief description in the run-up to the trade fair and thereby nominate them for participation in the Valve Star Awards. Votes are cast online. The winners will be recognised in the four categories Valves, Actuators, Sealing Technology and the special category Industry 4.0/Automation during the trade fair in Düsseldorf.
