A changing industry – rarely before have the industry players in valves, pumps and compressors faced so many challenges. The shift from fossil to renewable energy sources must happen much faster for the energy transition to succeed.
Nevertheless, oil and gas are still needed. Politicians and environmental organisations, but also international agreements, are demanding that industry take ever new measures to make the energy transition a success.
Reason enough for the exhibitors at VALVE WORLD EXPO, from 3 to 5 December 2024 in Düsseldorf, to step on the gas and show that the industry is steaming ahead. In addition to presenting innovative solutions in the field of industrial valves, our exhibitors will be presenting themselves as attractive, modern and agile employers in a demanding industrial environment.
The fact that manufacturers of machines, plants and products also have to constantly reinvent themselves in order to respond to rapid market challenges is demonstrated by the 565 exhibitors from 36 countries currently presenting their products on 15,680 square metres in exhibition halls 1 and 3.
Two conferences, the fee-based Valve World Conference in Hall 1 and the free Valve World Expo Forum on the stage in Hall 3, provide a balanced mix of theory and practice. The international, English-language Valve World Conference, with delegates from all over the world, offers solutions to many industry challenges in around 65 specialist presentations, live panels and special units for young professionals. The topics of energy transformation, digitalisation, standardisation and automation are at the top of the agenda of the conference, which is once again being organised by KCI.
The Valve World Expo Forum will follow on the first two days of the trade fair with compact lectures and discussions. Here, Vulkan-Verlag is organising an exciting German-language programme, which will be simultaneously translated into English. From midday on the second day of the trade fair, KCI will follow with additional short lectures and information slots in English. All of this will be somewhat shorter and more compact than at the Valve World Conference in Hall 1.
Sustainability and young talent are key
Digital ecoMetals-trails to exhibitors such as Ayvaz, Emerson, KSB, OMC, Waldemar Pruss Armaturenfabrik GmbH, Siemens AG and VENTIL Test Equipment B.V. that produce in a particularly sustainable and energy-efficient manner provide interested visitors with insights into their production processes. Visitors decide for themselves when to visit the exhibition stands, which are characterised by a circular route. Further information here.
Our exhibitors are also aware that a lack of skilled workers can often be the beginning of the end for a company. To counteract this and to attract young talent, some of them are presenting themselves as attractive employers and trainers in the High Potential Initiative with job trails (here). The following companies are taking part: AVA Armaturen Vertrieb Alms GmbH, AUMA Riester GmbH & Co. KG, HEROSE GmbH Armaturen und Metalle, Mankenberg GmbH, VENTIL Test Equipment B.V., FIRST and Rotork PLC.
Sponsors MRC Global, KITZ, Emerson, Neway, Velan and rotork will also support the trade fair and conference in 2024. Further information about VALVE WORLD EXPO and its highlights can be found on the internet portal at www.valveworldexpo.com.
