The annual FT-Statista list includes companies across Europe that have reduced their carbon intensity the most. This assessed companies scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions intensity over a 5-year period, from 2015-2020. Victrex, which was added to the list for the first time this year, is seeking to achieve net zero ambitions by 2030, by reducing scope 1 and 2 emissions from its own operations. Victrex reached a key milestone earlier this year when it achieved 100 percent renewable electricity for its UK operations.
Jakob Sigurdsson, CEO at Victrex commented, "We are extremely proud to have been named a European climate leader by the Financial Times. Sustainability is embedded in our strategy, both in terms of the transformational and sustainable solutions we bring to our customers and our markets, and in terms of how we operate to minimise use of resources - it is a real honour to be included in this prestigious list."
