Green Steel & Green Metals

The energy needs of the metalworking industry are intense. More, a large part of production is still dependant on the use of coal for chemical and physical reasons, and therefore on emissions of CO 2 . But the be-all or end-all of the metal industries hinges on the fastest possible, and successful, methods of decarbonisation.

Alternative energies like LNG or liquid hydro- gen are gaining more steam and currently experiencing a massive boom. However, they both pose special challenges, for example concerning the necessary fittings. Manufacturers of industrial fittings and valves are rising to the occasion. The ecoMetals Trails show pathways that lead to transformation.
